Slido is a great presentation tool and platform specializing in live polling and data collection. However, in its free version, it offers a limited set of features, limited visualization options, and a low limit of 3 polls per presentation. Thankfully, there are plenty of alternatives.
With its eight types of questions, Slido aims to engage an audience and gather opinions. This makes it very useful in meetings and events in particular, but your priorities may be different! What about, for example, teachers or trainers who want to emphasize the educational aspects of their presentations and create more engaging content?
Here, we offer you a short presentation of Slido and its alternatives, for uses where it may not be the ideal choice or tool for every time. Or for all kinds of events, meetings, surveys or presentations. So let’s check it out and compare it with some alternatives!
You can get started with Slido for free, thanks to its Basic plan, for up to 100 participants in the audience per event. This allows you to run three polls or surveys per presentation (called a “Slido”).
The first paid pricing plan, Engage, costs €15 per month. This increases the number of participants in the audience up to 200 at a time, and allows for unlimited questions, as well as features such data export options for each event.
The Professional pricing plan is recommended for teams. At a price of €60 per month, the pricing plan allows for two users instead of one, and increases the number of audience participants up to 1,000. Additional features are also added, such as the ability to moderate questions, and improved privacy options.
Finally, the Enterprise pricing plan at €150 per month allows for three users and up to 5,000 audience participants. It includes advanced authentication software features and dedicated spaces for organizing and sharing slides.
There are also special education pricing plans for teachers and institutions. The different plans have similar features, but different prices. The summary table below should help you compare prices.
Basic | Engage | Professional | Enterprise | Institution | |
For businesses | Free | €15/month | €60/month | €150/month | - |
For the education sector | Free | €5/month | €7.50/month | - | €50/month |
Above all, Slido offers audience survey, poll and q&a features, in order to boost engagement, and obtain precise data and feedback.

Description | |||||
Quickly gather real time audience feedback on questions, a topic or the event | Show the most popular replies, to engage the audience in discussion | Allow the public to directly submit answers, to gather data and opinions | Ask the audience to rank entries in order of preference or importance | Host interactive Q&A sessions with the audience | Test audience knowledge or understanding of a topic |
Though Slido has pricing plans specially designed for educational institutions, make no mistake: it is primarily aimed at businesses and emphasizes this use case in particular.
Again, Slido focuses above all on surveys, polls, and collecting data and feedback. Although it also offers features to create fun quizzes and test audience knowledge, this is not its main focus and there are other tools better suited for such purposes.
To promote audience engagement and interaction, Slido boasts integrations with online video conferencing platforms, such as Microsoft Teams, Webex, and Zoom, and also with presentation software and tools for the creation of slides, such like Microsoft PowerPoint, Keynote, and Google Slides.
However, it falls short when it comes to integration with digital learning environments or learning management systems (LMS), such as Canvas, or 360Learning. For such integrations, it is better to turn to an alternative software platform such as Wooclap, now available on the 360Learning market!
Maybe you don’t need such a sophisticated tool as Slido to collect audience feedback? Here are some Slido alternatives that might interest you.

Compared to most of its competitors, Slido is a more specialized platform and software tool, offering many advantages in its field, but struggling to stand out for any use that is not related to surveys and polling.
If your needs are different, it may therefore be interesting to check out more versatile alternatives. Don’t hesitate to try Wooclap: with its 21 types of interactive questions, its varied, easy to use features, and its numerous integrations, it adapts to all use cases!
