Artificial intelligence is transforming education, but its effective adoption largely depends on teacher training. The Escuela Bancaria y Comercial (EBC) in Mexico has launched an ambitious training program to help its faculty integrate generative AI into their teaching, optimizing their time and enhancing the quality of their classes.
EBC has undertaken a large-scale initiative to introduce generative AI tools to its educators. Over 800 teachers participated in training programs that focused on when and how to effectively incorporate AI into their teaching. A centralized framework was developed to provide guidelines and best practices, while a collaborative network allows educators to share insights and success stories.
The goal was to equip teachers with tools that save time on repetitive tasks, allowing them to prioritize instruction and deeper student interactions.

Teachers at EBC are leveraging AI as an assistant for tasks like content generation, grading, and lesson planning. These tools enable faculty to manage higher expectations and design more complex assignments without compromising their focus on critical teaching elements.
In fields like programming and digital creation, Carleton University faculty have leveraged AI tools such as Copilot to automate time-intensive tasks like debugging and code generation. This allows students to focus on higher-level problem-solving and creative design. For instance, in programming courses, students can experiment with optimizing algorithms while relying on AI to handle repetitive coding tasks. In digital creation, AI-powered tools streamline processes like layout design or media editing, enabling students to explore advanced topics with greater creativity and efficiency.
AI has enabled teachers to raise the bar, helping students tackle more complex challenges while remaining engaged.
